
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Alastair Loudon lived his teenage years in St Andrews. Between 1963 and 1982 his father, Niel Loudon, was closely involved in organising and developing The Open Championship, in administering the Rules of Golf and in the creation of the Rules Decisions service that operates around the world today.
Golf has been a key part of Alastair' s life, a passion that he inherited from his father. He has been a member of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews since 1969 and has served on the Rules of Golf, Championship, Heritage, Commercial and General Committees over an eighteen-year period. He is also a member of the Bruntsfield Links Golfing Society in Edinburgh and Gullane Golf Club in East Lothian.
